My Story
Originally from Columbus, Ohio and raised in Vancouver, Washington, Robin Weirich has lived in Salt Lake City and now calls Portland, Oregon home. She recently celebrated her 30th anniversary in the mortgage industry, a career she landed in almost by accident. While refinancing her own home, the person handling her loan told her she’d be good at this work. That Monday, she showed up ready to start, walking away from a salaried job in diamond sales to do it. What she values most in the work is the flexibility, the joy of helping people reach homeownership, and the satisfaction of helping clients solve difficult financial problems, along with the creative side of growing her own business.
Outside of lending, Robin is deeply rooted in Portland’s art world. She and her husband, artist Gregory Hergert, have owned and run a thriving international art gallery in the city for the past 12 years, where she’s known as @undergroundrobin. She also runs Robin Modern, a side business selling vintage Italian treasures to collectors around the world. When she and Gregory take a day off, you’ll often find them hiking or rock hunting, and at home her family, friends, and cats are what matter most.
